Aluminum Fences

Aluminum fences are being used more and more in the yards of home owners.  It is also a very popular choice for commercial and industrial fencing needs among businesses.  This is because they come in an array of color choices, very light in weight, extremely durable and sturdy, they never seem to rust and are easy to maintain.

Aluminum Is Tougher Than Steel
Aluminum fencing is extremely durable.  It can be easily described as indestructible.  Because it so resistant to rust, it is the preferred choice of fencing to alternatives like steel or wrought iron fences.  Steel and wrought iron requires high maintenance to preserve its integrity like frequent painting.  Aluminum is particularly practical to use in areas that come into frequent contact with water like around swimming pools and such.

The process of powder coating is highly desirable and available in aluminum fences. It cures the paint on the metal surfaces, protecting it from fading and the harsh weather conditions that can break down any material over time, adding to its durability.  Put all these factors together and you literally have a maintenance free fencing option.

Another great advantage is its light weight.  It makes for easier installation and will last a lot longer than its steel or wrought iron fence counterparts, because it doesn’t put quite as much stress on the posts and joints.  Gates for aluminum fences can also span much longer than steel or wrought iron because of its light weight.  This makes it an attractive option for entry into estate type dwellings as well as commercial and industrial compounds.

The final thing to consider with aluminum fencing is the design of the fence.  They are available in spiked security designs as well as flat top rail designs where the safety of children and pets is a concern.  One example would be around swimming pools. Put all these various elements together, and there’s very little aluminum fences cannot be applied to.
